ADRIAS -They Were All Heroes- Margarita Pournara
Summary
Her book ADRIAS - They Were All Heroes (Cyclops Amke Publications), is the story of the bravest ship of the Greek fleet in WWII. Hit by a mine that cut off one-third of her hull, this destroyer managed, thanks to her extraordinary crew, to motor to Kalymnos. After 40 days of minimal repairs she continued for 730 miles and reached Alexandria, Egypt, where she arrived triumphantly in 1943.
