In these booklets we present some of the Association members’ activities, such as the building of new boats, the refitting of old ones , regattas and boat shows, publications and exhibitions…we also focus on special boats and on the few remaining traditional boatbuilders.

This book pays tribute to the men who designed, built and worked on the traditional boats and ships show here, symbols of the myriads stranded and sunk along the Greek coasts and alsewhere, our maritime heritage.
Thanks to the Traditional Boats Association of Greece and heartliy thank to Annika Barbarigos, the photographer Stefano Benazzo found all these ships and some of the still extant fishing boats...

This book was published as a catalog to an exhibition of the same name held at Gallery Citronne on the island of Poros, Greece in May 2016. The exhibition ran in conjunction with the fourth Traditional Boat Show, run by the Traditional Boat Association of Greece. Proceeds from the sale of this book have been and will continue to be donated to the the Traditional Boat Association.
